The challenge was space and time: complex cases needed both open surgery and catheter tools without moving the patient. Our answer was a hybrid suite with full imaging built into the theatre itself.
Surgeons, anaesthetists and interventionists now plan each case around one table. High-risk valve and bypass combinations that once took two separate admissions are finished in a single session.
